There's a few other specific support bro types as well that's potentially useful, the second most useful is probably someone with cooking skill which also saves / makes a ton of money for you. try to find a peddler / eunuch / servant near the start of the game. it is important in most legend starts to build specific support bros, most notably someone that pick up the barter tree, the money difference is tremendous, you can carry way more bros in legends, and thus you do need more money to support such large teams.light build is far stronger in legends, probably the strongest of the 3 overall, because with things like estoc and swordstaff your lunge damage is just off the charts, not to mention perks that increase initiative, and a lot of layers / items that can do the same.for most backliners especially, medium armor is awesome, balance give you free 40 defense to both melee and range, unless your backline is somehow surrounded by multiple enemies (in which case your front line is probably gone anyway.) works for some front liner as well but more risky.
